Official Rules

These are the Official Rules (“Official Rules”) of the Avery Dennison Corporation (hereinafter “Sponsor”) “Wrap Like A KING Challenge” (“Challenge”). Please read these Official Rules of the Challenge. You must agree to accept and comply with the Official Rules to participate in the Challenge and be eligible to win the Prizes (described below).

ELIGIBILITY:

The Challenge is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (“U.S.”), Canada (excluding Quebec), Australia and New Zealand, China, Japan and South Korea, South Africa, and the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Latvia, Lithuania, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and Iceland (hereinafter defined as “Europe”) (collectively, the “Eligible Countries”), who are at least the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence or the age of capacity to contract in their jurisdiction of residence on the date of entry (“Entrant”). Employees, directors, and officers and their immediate families (spouses and siblings, parents, and children, and their spouses) and household members of Sponsor, Administrator, their parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates, distributors, dealerships, and companies involved in the implementation and execution of the Challenge (collectively the “Challenge Entities”) and Judges may not enter and are not eligible to win prizes. The Challenge is void outside of the Eligible Countries and where prohibited by law.

ENTRY PERIOD:

The Challenge begins at 12:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) / 09:00 AM Central European Summer Time (“CEST”)/17:00 PM Australian Eastern Standard Time (“AEST”) / 15:00 PM China Standard Time (“CST”) / 16:00 PM Korea and Japan standard time (“KST and JST”) on Monday, June 3rd, 2019, and ends at 11:59 PM PST on Friday, August 30, 2019/ 08:59 AM CEST/16:59 AEST / 14:59 PM CST / 15:59 PM KST and JST on Saturday, August 31, 2019 (“Entry Period”). Sponsor’s computer time clock is the official timekeeper for the Challenge.

HOW TO ENTER:

There is a limit of one (1) Entry per person. To enter:

  1. Using Avery Dennison vehicle wrap products (such as Supreme Wrapping Film or MPI 1105), wrap your four-wheel passenger vehicle (i.e., car, minivan, SUV, pick-up truck, or non-commercial vehicle).
  2. During the Entry Period, visit www.WrapLikeAKing.com (the “Website”) and complete the online entry form.
  3. Submit the completed online entry form with up to five (5) photos – one (1) pre wrap, two (2) detailed close-ups (e.g., door handle, mirrors, inside door jam, and/or bumper), and two (2) glamour shots depicting your vehicle’s full wrap (your “Entry”). At least 90% of the wrap material visible in the photos must be Avery Dennison vehicle wrap product material. The photos should include your vehicle only, and not individuals, animals, or other objects. Be sure to list the Avery Dennison vehicle wrap products used, the make, model, and year of the vehicle, and the name and website URL of the business/shop owner and installer.

There is a limit of one (1) Entry per person and five (5) Entries per company. Submissions used in the 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, or 2018 Wrap Like a King Challenge are ineligible. Proof of submission of an Entry is not proof that the Entry was actually received by Sponsor; however, if an Entry is incomplete or otherwise ineligible, Sponsor may, but is under no obligation to, contact the Entrant and allow him/her to correct the identified issue(s) and resubmit the Entry during the Entry Period. Sponsor’s computer records control any such dispute. Entrants may also provide a link to a YouTube video of their project, which may be placed on Avery Dennison’s YouTube channel, but the video is not mandatory and will not be considered in the Judges’ voting process.

AGREEMENT TO THE OFFICIAL RULES AND OTHER CONDITIONS:

By participating in the Challenge, each Entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Administrator and the Judges, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Challenge. Winning any prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. The Challenge prohibits Entrants from using any photos, images, and videos which constitute or include the proprietary works of others, without obtaining the proper rights to use such materials. Entries containing materials that are deemed inappropriate or offensive in Sponsor’s or Administrator’s sole discretion may be disqualified. Additionally, Entrants fully and unconditionally agree that the Sponsor can use all Entry materials submitted, including without limitation all photos, images, texts, and videos, for any purposes in perpetuity without any compensation to, or further approval from, Entrant. However, Sponsor has no obligation to use such materials.

Entries will be considered made by the authorized account holder of the email address provided on the online entry form. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning such addresses. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. No mechanical reproductions permitted. Sponsor is not liable for lost, late, misdirected, or corrupted Entries whether due to a technical error or otherwise. Entries – including photographs, images and videos – becomes the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. If your Entry does not meet the criteria herein, your Entry may be ineligible at Sponsor’s discretion.

WINNER SELECTION:

There will be ten (10) Regional Winners, five (5) Continental Winners, and one (1) King of the Wrap World Winner.

There will be a total of ten (10) Regional Winners – one (1) Regional Winner from each of the regions set forth below:

  1. North America West: Washington, Oregon, Nevada, California, Hawaii, and Alaska.
  2. North America Central: Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas, and Nebraska.
  3. North America East: District of Columbia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine.
  4. Canada: All Canadian provinces, except Quebec.
  5. North America Midwest: Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, and Michigan.
  6. North America South: Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
  7. Europe Central: Austria, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, and The Netherlands.
  8. Europe North: Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom, and Iceland.
  9. Europe South: France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain.
  10. Eastern Europe & MENA: Albania, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, FMR Yugoslav Rep Macedonia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Malta, Mauritius, Morocco, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United Arab Emirates.

Five (5) Continental Winners (one from each continent) will then be selected. There will be two (2) Continental Winners selected from among the ten (10) Regional Winners – one (1) from North America and one (1) from Europe/MENA. There will be three (3) Continental Winners selected from among Entrants from the following three continents: North Asia, Australia/New Zealand, and South Africa. One (1) King of the Wrap World Winner will then be chosen from the five (5) Continental Winners to be named King of the Wrap World.

All winners will be selected by a panel of qualified Judges. The Judges include Molly Waters, Justin Pate, Myles Kovacs, Peter Wright, Jun Kinoshita, Frank Maquart, Eddy Speelman, Yianni Charalambous and Sarel Krueger.

The Judges will determine the winners using the following criteria:

In the event of a tie, the tied Entry with the highest overall score in the Visual Transformation criterion will be deemed the winner. If there is still a tie after the first tie-breaker, the tied Entry with the highest overall score in the Quality and Skill Level of Installation criterion will be deemed the winner. If there is still a tie after both tie-breakers, Sponsor will select new judges to judge the tied Entries according to the above criteria, as needed until the tie is broken. The Judges have the right to release or reserve their final scores, but under all circumstances, the Judges’ initial voting totals are final. The odds of being selected for any prize depend on the performance of each Entrant.

WINNER NOTIFICATION AND ANNOUNCEMENT:

Regional Wrap King Award: The ten (10) Regional Winners will be notified by email on or before 16.09.2019, and announced via social media, www.WrapLikeAKing.com, and/or a press release on or about Tuesday, September 17, 2019.

Continental Wrap King Award: The five (5) Continental Winners will be notified by email on or before 30.09.2019, and announced via social media, www.WrapLikeAKing.com, and/or a press release on or about Tuesday, October 1, 2019.

King of the Wrap World Award: The King of the Wrap World Winner will be announced at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show between November 5, 2019, and November 8, 2019, with the day and time at the discretion of the Sponsor, and via social media, www.WrapLikeAKing.com, and/or a press release on or about Sunday, November 10, 2019.

If Sponsor is unable to reach a potential Regional Winner or potential Continental Winner at the provided email address within three (3) days, a prize is returned as undeliverable, or a winner does not accept delivery of the prize, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner based on the judging criteria. A potential winner may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release. Refusal by a potential winner to execute an Affidavit and Release, or failure to return an Affidavit and Release by the stated deadline, will result in disqualification, and a new potential winner may be selected in accordance with the judging criteria.

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use the winner’s name, hometown, likeness, statements, and other personally identifiable information for promotional, advertising, and marketing purposes in any media throughout the world without additional prize, incentive, consideration, consent, or review, and upon request, winner will provide written consent to such use.

PRIZES:

TEN (10) REGIONAL WRAP KING PRIZES:

The ten (10) Regional Winners will each receive a prize pack that includes the following:

The approximate retail value (ARV) of each Regional Wrap King Prize is $2,000.

FIVE (5) CONTINENTAL WRAP KING PRIZES:

The five (5) Continental Winners will each receive a prize pack that includes the following:

The ARV for each Continental Wrap King Prize is $3,200. The actual value may vary based on various factors, including date of booking the hotel. Any difference between stated value and actual value will not be awarded.

For Europe, Australia and New Zealand, North Asia, and South Africa Continental Wrap King Winners only: One (1) return airplane ticket (economy class) from the Continental Winner’s country of residence to Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. The dates and times of travel are to be determined at the discretion of the Sponsor. All extra costs, including but not limited to, transportation to the airport in the winner’s country of residence, parking, special seating, entertainment, etc. are at the winner’s sole expense. All visa and travel arrangements are the sole responsibility of the winners. Avery Dennison shall not be held liable and shall not pay any compensation in the event a winner is not able to obtain a valid visa and/or make all necessary travel arrangements connected to redeeming the prize.

ONE (1) KING OF THE WRAP WORLD PRIZE:

In addition to or in lieu of (as noted below) a Regional Wrap King Prize element or a Continental Wrap King Prize element, one (1) King of the Wrap World Winner will receive the following prize pack:

The ARV for the King of the Wrap World Prize is $5,000.

PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD:

In addition to the above prizes, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, all eligible Entries will be posted to the Website, and members of the public will be invited to visit the Website between 01.08.2019, and 06.09.2019 (the “Voting Period”) and vote for their favorite Entry. There is a limit of one (1) vote per person. You may not attempt to obtain votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, by (i) circumventing (or encouraging others to circumvent) the voting limits; (ii) using any automated system to vote; or (iii) offering any inducements to others in exchange for votes. Sponsor and/or Administrator, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to reject any votes obtained through fraudulent or inappropriate means.

After the Voting Period, the Entrant whose Entry received the most votes will be crowned the People’s Choice, and he will receive:

The ARV for the People’s Choice Award Prize is $1500. The winner will be notified by email on or before 09.09.2019, and announced via social media, www.WrapLikeAKing.com, and/or a press release on or about 10.09.2019. Winner may be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release.

GENERAL PRIZE RESTRICTIONS:

Under no circumstances is Sponsor responsible for any payment, prize elements, or number of prizes beyond the stated prizes and prize amounts listed above. Certain conditions and restrictions for all prize elements listed above may apply. See gift card specifics for potential additional limitations. Any additional expenses or items that are not specifically listed in the prize descriptions above and any costs incurred in accepting or using a prize are not included and are the sole responsibility of the winner. All prizes of cash and gift cards will be mailed to the winners at the address provided on the online entry form. Prizes may not be transferred or assigned until after the actual winner has complied with all of his or her obligations under these Official Rules. No cash or other substitution may be made, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute a prize in whole or in part with another prize of comparable or greater value.

Winners who are legal residents of the U.S. or Canada will be responsible for all taxes (including but not limited to federal, state, local, and/or income) on the prize and may be required to provide their Social Security numbers for tax reporting purposes. Sponsor will file an IRS Form 1099 with the Internal Revenue Service for the prize. If a prize winner refuses to provide his/her Social Security number, the prize winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected in accordance with the judging criteria. All dollar amounts reflect United States currency.

Winners from any other regions are responsible for all taxes on prizes, if applicable.

GENERAL CONDITIONS / RELEASE:

In consideration of the ability to participate in the Challenge, Entrant agrees to (a) release Challenge Entities, Facebook®, Instagram® and their respective directors, officers, agents, and employees from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by (i) Entrant’s participation, including the unauthorized or illegal access to personally identifiable or sensitive information or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize; (ii) any Challenge Entities’ sponsorship or administration of the Challenge; and (iii) Entrant’s and/or any third party’s use, sale, or disposal of the prize; (b) acknowledge that Challenge Entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize (any written warranty by the manufacturer concerning the prize will be provided along with the prize). Neither Challenge Entities nor any service providers are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of Entry information, or for any human, technical, or other error or malfunction related to or resulting from participation in this Challenge. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE, TAMPER WITH THE ENTRY PROCESS, OR OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CHALLENGE MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO COOPERATE IN THE PROSECUTION OF ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL(S) AND TO PURSUE ALL REMEDIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. If for any reason the Challenge is not capable of being executed as planned, or infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, harassment, action of Entrants, technical failures, or any other causes which in the opinion of Sponsor, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Challenge, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any suspect Entry or Entrant and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Challenge. In the event of any

cancellation, termination, or suspension, notice thereof will be posted at www.WrapLikeAKing.com. If the Sponsor decides to reconvene the Challenge after a suspension, the determination of the prize winners will be made, from among all eligible, non-suspect Entries received as of the date of the suspension, based on the judging criteria (with or without reference to public votes, as applicable). Entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification. Normal internet access and/or mobile device usage charges imposed by your internet or mobile service provider will apply.

PRIVACY:

Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from Entrants will only be used by the Sponsor and its agents to administer the Challenge and in any other way disclosed to the Entrant. By submitting an Entry for the Challenge, Entrants agree to the processing of their personal data by Sponsor for the administration of the Challenge. For more information regarding Sponsor’s general manner of collection, use, and disclosure of personal information, please see Avery Dennison’s Graphics Solutions’ privacy policy at http://graphics.averydennison.com/en/home/legal-and-privacy.html. To the extent there is any conflict between these Rules and the online privacy policy, the terms of these Rules shall prevail.

DISPUTES:

Entrants agree that (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Challenge or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Lake County, OH; (b) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Challenge but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no circumstances will Entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and Entrant hereby waives all rights to, claim punitive, incidental, consequential, and any other damages, other than out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, Entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Challenge, and all disputes arising out of or related to the Challenge, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state of Ohio without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of Ohio or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Ohio.

SPONSOR AND ADMINISTRATOR:

The Challenge is sponsored by Avery Dennison Corporation, 8080 Norton Parkway, Mentor, OH 44060, and administered by Booming BV – De Hallen, Hannie Dankbaarpassahe 14, 1053 RT Amsterdam. The Challenge is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with INSTAGRAM® or FACEBOOK®. You are providing your information to Sponsor and not to INSTAGRAM® or FACEBOOK®. The information you provide will only be used as outlined herein.

THIRD PARTY MARKS:

Third party trademarks and trade names used in connection with the Challenge are the property of their respective owners.
